DB-15 Connector



DB-15 connectors are used for a large number serial interfaces, however none could be considered as high speed. Normally D-subminiature connector only work up to a few hundred kilo hertz.

Design Note; The Dsub connector styles has been used in designs for decades now [MIL-C-24308 DSub Connector Vendors]. But unless your upgrading a system which requires using an existing cable there is little need to design them into a system. In fact the D-sub style two generations of upgrades, with with new up-grade being smaller in size and able to operate to higher frequencies. As an example refer to MIL-DTL-32139 Connector Vendors.
